You see, all babies, regardless of the differences, move the same way and go through the same developmental stages that is because we are wired that way. If we know how that is and can assess how you are, we can see where the problem resides.

Sounds simple and yet, we are not doing this. Why? Because we have found ourselves comfortable with the routines and no health condition ever needs a routine approach. If a routine approach worked, there would never be any chronic musculoskeletal issues and we would fix the problems on the first occurrence. Can You Get A Pinched Nerve In The Armpit

Yes, you can pinch a nerve in your armpit.

Your axillary nerve starts in your neck and runs through your armpit before crossing over your upper arm bone . It branches into a motor nerve to your shoulder muscles and a sensory nerve to your shoulder.

Your axillary nerve can be pinched by:

  • continuous armpit pressure, such as from using a crutch
  • repeated overhead movement, such as pitching a baseball or hitting a volleyball
  • pain

Hot Compress And Cold Compress


  • Take two handfuls of wheat or rice bran. Heat it in a pan .
  • Tie up the heated bran in a piece of soft cloth. Apply this homemade heat pack on the affected area. Repeat the process for as long as required.
  • Take a handful of ice cubes. Tie up the ice-cubes in a polythene bag.
  • Apply the cold compress on the affected area. Apply hot and cold packs alternatively.

How does this work?

Applying a heat pack on the affected area helps relax the tightened muscles and relieve the pain. The heat or cold pack helps release the compression on the sciatic nerve, which causes severe pain. The heat pack has a soothing effect and offers instant relief from the searing pain caused by sciatica or nerve pain.

It is important to take care not to apply the heat directly on the skin, it is better to spread a cloth over the skin before applying the heat pack. Similarly, ice cubes should not be applied on the skin directly. A heat/cold pack is one of the best home remedies for nerve pain.

If it is truly sciatica it is unlikely to benefit from compression hosetherapy. However, some patients have a mixed picture of sciatica and legpain from venous insufficiency. If your pain is worse at the end of theday and improved with elevation and rest you might have a component ofvenous insufficiency. Other classic characteristics of venousinsufficiency are pain worse with sitting or standing and improved withambulation. If this sounds familiar you might benefit from a veinevaluation before you resign yourself to the diagnosis of sciatica alone.
